In an emotional appearance at a press conference yesterday, comedian Amy Schumer spoke of the two women who were shot to death during a screening of her movie, “Trainwreck,” and asked lawmakers to support a gun control bill sponsored by her second cousin, U.S. Sen. The legislation would try to improve a flawed background check system by creating monetary incentives for states that submit a robust amount of information to the federal database used to block sales to people with criminal records or a history of serious mental illness. On Monday, Princeton Review released it’s 2015 rankings of the Top Party Schools in the country. Topping the list was the University of Illinois. But make no mistake; it’s not all about partying for these students. The school stakes claim to 23 Nobel Prize winners and tech prowess that contributed to the creation of YouTube, Netscape, Java and LED. Rounding out the top five party schools are, in order: The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Bucknell University in Pennsylvania and last year’s No. 1, Syracuse University in New York. Scott has more on the Princeton Review rankings, which go beyond just top party schools. It rates the “Best 380 Colleges”.
