Singer Adam Levine and his model wife Behati Prinsloo were left red-faced when their car ran out of gas on Los Angeles’ most famous street.

The Maroon 5 frontman had been enjoying a romantic evening out with the Victoria’s Secret beauty on Wednesday when their date came to an awkward end as the singer’s classic 1950s Mercedes-Benz ground to a halt on Sunset Boulevard.

According to TMZ.com, the former “The Voice” judge had to wait by the roadside with Prinsloo for a friend to bring a can of gas.

Eyewitnesses noted the “My Life” singer’s mood shifted once passers-by started to notice him, with sources claiming he seemed upset with the attention.

Levine and Prinsloo wed last month in a ceremony in Los Cabos, Mexico.
