WASHINGTON (AP) — Plans are starting to come together for saluting Jay Leno as the latest recipient of the nation’s top comedy prize. And the man who followed Leno as host of “The Tonight Show” will be a big part of the tribute.

Jimmy Fallon will be among those taking part in the October ceremony to honor Leno at the Kennedy Center in Washington.

Other performers include Chelsea Handler, Jerry Seinfeld, Wanda Sykes, Betty White and Kevin Eubanks.

The event will be taped for broadcast by PBS on Nov. 23.
