‘Diseased’ meat forces Nestlé to recall 2 Hot Pocket flavors

Food giant Nestlé has announced a recall of some of its Hot Pocket brand frozen sandwiches because they contain meat from a California-based company that said it used “diseased and unsound” animals.

Rancho Feeding Corporation last week recalled nearly 9 million pounds of meat products after the U.S. Department of Agriculture said the facility processed “diseased and unhealthy animals” without a full federal inspection.

Nestlé said the Hot Pocket flavors being recalled are the Philly Steak and Cheese in three different pack sizes and Croissant Crust Philly Steak and Cheese, in the two-pack box.

Consumers should not eat the product, but instead should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or contact Nestlé Consumer Services at 1-800-392-4057.

Target recalls 191K teething toys for infants

Target is recalling nearly 200,000 infant teething toys sold exclusively at Target stores and online for about $13. The toys, made by Infantino, are a choking hazard. So far the manufacturer has received seven reports of infants choking on the small plastic Squeeze & Teethe Coco the Monkey toys.

10K Kawasaki motorcycles recalls off-road bikes

Kawasaki is recalling about 10,000 off-road motorcycles involving model years 2010, 2011 and 2012 KLX110 and KLX110L. They were sold as recently as January and retailed for about $2,350.
