WGAN Manhattan Transfer – Contest Rules

The WGAN Manhattan Transfer Contest is a texting contest that requires listeners to text in to win. The contest will air January 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th, and throughout those five days, WGAN will inform listeners of the Manhattan Transfer keyword. There will be one keyword and listeners will only be allowed to enter the contest once. On Monday, January 20th, WGAN will compile a list of all the text submissions and draw five winners at random. When listeners enter the contest, they will receive a confirmation message indicating that they have entered. Winners will be called on the 20th. Tickets start at $39.50.

WGAN contests are open to all eligible Maine citizens 18 or older who have not won anything on WGAN in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WGAN, the Portland Radio Group and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WGAN main studio are not eligible to win any contest.   Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
