Man Arrested After Downtown Portland Shooting

A 31-year-old man faces numerous charges after a shooting at a downtown Portland apartment Sunday morning.

Police say they found a 36-year-old woman with a gunshot wound at an apartment on Oak Street at 8:18 a.m., and then located Tanade Muse of Portland less than an hour later west of the Back Cove near the corner of Clifton Street and Vannah Avenue.

The victim was taken to Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. 

Muse was taken to Cumberland County Jail with the following charges – Dangerous Weapon, Domestic Violence Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon, Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Falsifying Physical Evidence and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
