One Injured in Fire That Destroys West Bath Home

West Bath Fire on Monday, March 23 2026 - Salvation Army


A home is destroyed and one person has injuries from a house fire in West Bath on Monday night.
Crews from several towns, including Bath, Brunswick, and Topsham, were sent to the scene on Foster Point Road just after 8:00 p.m.
Firefighters say it took three hours to put out the intense fire, and the home is considered a total loss.
An excavator was brought in to demolish what was left of the building.
One person was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries, although the extent of their injuries is not known
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is now investigating the cause of the fire.
The Salvation Army said it provided hydration, coffee, and snacks to fire crews
