Jim Cohen Of Verrill | Eggs & Issues 9/14

This Morning is The First Eggs & Issues of the 2022-23 season for an important and timely discussion on the fourteen ballot questions that will be before voters in Portland this November. This unprecedented number of questions presented by the Democratic Socialists of America and Former Mayor Ethan Strimling builds off similar 2020 referendums which have had devastating impacts on the city. This year, the topics include a proposal to institute one of the highest minimum wages in the country, even more, restrictive rent control, restrictions on short-term rentals and cruise ships, as well as a sweeping proposal to get rid of Portland’s City Manager and install a strong mayor in City Hall.
