Ken Olson | Trauma Intervention Program

TIP works closely with local 911 Dispatch Centers and is only dispatched through their system. TIP does not take calls directly from members of the public.
Local Police, Fire departments and EMS assess the situation upon their arrival at the scene of a tragedy and make the determination as to whether the Trauma Intervention Program will be accessed

The Trauma Intervention Program of Greater Portland, Inc. (TIP) is seeking caring individuals to join a tight-knit, compassionate team of volunteers that has been providing emotional first aid and practical support to the survivors of traumatic events in our community since 2005. TIP Volunteers are dispatched to trauma scenes at the request of police officers, fire fighters, paramedics, and hospital ER staff in Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, and the towns of Scarborough, Falmouth, Gorham, Cape Elizabeth, Windham, and Cumberland.
