Kerem Durdag / Great Works Internet

Matt speaks with Kerem Durdag. He is The President and Chief Operating Officer of GWI (Great Works Internet) On High Speed Internet and the impact to Maine.

High speed internet is an urgent necessity for the 21st century. Necessary for creation of jobs, retention of jobs and growth of jobs. For education. For telehealth. The State of Maine, such as ConnectMaine is doing some great stuff; support it. GWI is a founding member of Maine Broadband Coalition and on its governance committee trying to do our part.

There is an economic divide. A digital divide. We need to be inclusive and equitable. Intentionally and with agency. It is all our responsibility to do so.

The internet has been governed by monopolistic tendencies; as a consumer demand choice, competition and use your purchasing power that reflects your values. GWI is a B Corp certified company that has to include the consumer in its decision making everyday as governed by its charter.
