Lydia Kang, MD, is a practicing internal medicine physician and author of young adult fiction and adult fiction, including Quackery: A Brief History of the Worst Ways to Cure Everything, an NPR Best Science Book of 2017, and Patient Zero: A Curious History of the World’s Worst Diseases, both of which she wrote with Nate Pedersen. Her nonfiction has been published in JAMA, the Annals of Internal Medicine, and the Journal of General Internal Medicine. She lives in Omaha, Nebraska, and online at  https://lydiakang.com
