Lydia Kang, MD, is a practicing internal medicine physician and author of young adult fiction and adult fiction, including Quackery: A Brief History of the Worst Ways to Cure Everything, an NPR Best Science Book of 2017, and Patient Zero: A Curious History of the World’s Worst Diseases, both of which she wrote with Nate Pedersen.
