We speak with Marianne Lacroix , Executive Director of the Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative.

  • The Collaborative has had a celebration planned for months called “Maine Lobster Week”, taking place from next Monday (September 19th) through Sunday (September 25th).  During that week, there will be all kinds of restaurant specials and special shipping offers, all having to do with Maine Lobster. Sunday 9/25, the final day of the event, is “National Lobster Day”.
  • All of this was being arranged and planned for one reason and one reason alone: to get more people to eat lobster, which helps support the men and women who make up the Maine Lobster industry, a critical, bedrock part of the Maine economy.
