National Vietnam War Veterans Day

We speak with Sarah Sherman with Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services as Today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day.  Vietnam Veterans Day was first celebrated 47 years go on March 29, 1974. The significance of this date marks the day in 1973, that the last combat troops withdrew from South Vietnam and the last prisoners of war held in North Vietnam were released.
