Chuck Igo

In Local, Podcasts

Chuck Igo updated you on sports here on WGAN for many years, and also hosted the “More Music Morning Show” on Rewind 100.9 for many years prior to his retirement in March. One effort that he poured his heart into during his time here at Portland Radio Group was the annual campaign to “Stuff the Bus.” Chuck has decided to come out of his retirement temporarily to help us raise money for Preble Street by living in a school bus for 28 hours starting this morning at 6AM for the importance of giving this Thanksgiving season! Help us exceed our goal of $20,000 for Preble Street by Thanksgiving!

This year’s annual “Stuff the Bus” Food Drive for Preble Street looks a little different… the need for donations is MUCH greater this year because of the pandemic. Preble Street is now serving 3 times the amount of meals it was just 6 months ago. No PHYSICAL donations will be taken for “Stuff the Bus” this year—instead, we’re asking you to donate ONLINE. Preble Street will take care of purchasing the food and delivering it to families. Your secure online donation gives Preble Street the buying power of 7 pounds of food for each dollar, and 100% of your pledge will help put food on the table of a Mainer in need! Get more info online now at wgan.com, or donate now by texting the word ‘FOOD’ to 77-thousand (77000).
