St. Peter’s Italian Bazaar & Street Festival

Matt Gagnon and Michael Colello discuss the 100th annual St. Peter’s Italian festival, which starts tonight at 5 PM on Federal Street in Portland’s Little Italy neighborhood. Colello, the CO chairman of the festival, details the preparations, including lighting decorations and the arrival of 300 volunteers. The festival, rooted in Italian heritage, celebrates the community’s history, including the immigration of Italians to America and the establishment of St. Peter’s Church. Danny Martignetti, the emcee, expresses excitement about the event, which features music and cultural activities until 10 PM on Friday and Saturday.
