Tunnel to Towers Foundation

We speak to John Ponte From Tunnel to Towers Foundation
He’s The Senior Director Of Construction.  Maine Veteran Christy Gardner to Receive Mortgage-Free Smart Home from Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Tunnel to Towers Foundation has begun construction on a mortgage-free smart home in Oxford, Maine, for Army SGT Christina Gardner, who was catastrophically injured while serving abroad in 2006.  Gardner lost both legs below the knees, incurred a lumbar spinal cord injury and skull fractures resulting in a traumatic brain injury, and lost two fingers on her left hand. The custom-built smart home will be designed to meet SGT Gardner’s specific needs, enabling her to live as independently as possible. The build will take place over the next two weeks and will culminate in a home dedication ceremony on Saturday, June 19. The Gold Star Family Home Program, launched in September 2018, honors the legacy of those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. The Foundation will provide a mortgage-free home to surviving spouses with young children.
