Matt Wolcott & Nancy Kamaliza from United Way of Greater Portland joins us to go over their ongoing efforts of helping the community as well as The United Way campaign kickoff campaign next week. Their campaign theme this year is UNITED for Greater Portland.
One of those ways/events we are doing the week of the UNITED for Greater Portland Kick-off, is a drive-thru food drive on September 18 at Wayside Food Programs.

This won’t be the traditional sculpture build then take-down, but we are hoping families and companies will still participate by building their own can structures at home or with their teams and then bringing those donations to Wayside on September 18. The United Ways throughout the state of Maine are also conducting their own food drives that day and we are attempting to make this the largest one-day coordinated state-wide food-drive.
