A homeless man in Biddeford faces drug trafficking charges after being found with $14,000 worth of illicit drugs.

Maine drug enforcement agents and police say they conducted a two-month investigation before searching 28-year-old Brandon Gelsomini’s tent at a Biddeford encampment.

Officers say they found 120 grams of Fentanyl, 21grams of Cocaine Hydrochloride (powder), 5 grams of Cocaine Base (Crack), as well as other drug trafficking items in the tent, along with a loaded shotgun, and about $7,000.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

Gelsomini was arrested on charges of Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs – Class A (School Zone, Firearm), along with Violation of Bail Conditions.

He’s currently being held without bail at the York County Jail with a court appearance scheduled for Friday

Officers say an investigation will continue, and additional arrests are expected.
