A 23-year-old man faces several charges after a hit-and-run crash with a motorcycle in western Maine’s Newry.

Oxford County deputies say Henry Clark of Kittery Point was passing a truck parked on the side of the road when he hit a motorcycle driven by 67-yer-old Donald Dyer of Standish.

The crash happened at the intersection of Mayville and Bear River Roads

Deputies say Dyer was turning onto the road as Clark was passing, and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Dyer was taken to a hospital with significant injuries, while Clark was arrested shortly after the crash when deputies found his vehicle parked at a gas station.

He is facing charges of reckless conduct, driving to endanger, OUI, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Deputies say the crash took place Saturday night.
