1 dead, 1 injured after vehicle crashes into 2 homes in Ellsworth

A passenger in a truck that crashed into two Ellsworth homes overnight Thursday morning has died.

Ellsworth Police say Paul Meservey, 23, of Orrington died after the driver lost control near the intersection of Bucksport and Surry Roads and struck two houses around 1:30 a.m.

The driver, Landon Rockwell, 19, of Dedham, was ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital by LifeFlight.

The crash is under investigation.

So far, no charges have been filed.
