A fatal house fire in Windsor is under investigation.

Fire crews arrived at the home on Ridge Road Monday evening to find heavy fire conditions and what’s believed to be the body of 77-year-old Lorraine Knox, who lived at the home.

The body is being taken to the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause and manner of death and confirm the identity.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it was reported that Knox had been having issues with her furnace recently and had been using electric heaters.
