An 18-year-old has been arrested following a stabbing Tuesday evening in Sanford.

A press release from the Sanford Police Dept. provided no information about what led up to the incident on Pinewood Drive.

But police announced the arrest of Bryce Tippett, who was charged with elevated aggravated assault.

He was transported to the York County Jail and was being held without bail Wednesday morning after allegedly stabbing a 40-year-old man in the leg.

The victim was listed in serious but stable condition.
