Fire investigators say a fire in Lewiston that left one man dead and nearly 60 people without a place to live was arson.

The fire broke out at the six-story building on Blake Street on Saturday afternoon. Shannon Moss with the Maine Department of Public Safety said three juveniles, two 13-year-olds and one 14-year-old, were arrested Monday afternoon and taken to Long Creek Correctional Facility.

70-year-old Felicien Betu died after jumping from the sixth story to escape the flames.

No one else was injured.

The Red Cross was helping to assist and find shelter for the displaced families.
