5 charged with trafficking after drug bust in Hancock County

Drug agents seized two pounds of fentanyl and arrested five people following a months-long investigation into the distribution of drugs throughout Hancock County.

Law enforcement executed a search warrant the evening of July 13 at a camp on Toddy Pond in Penobscot, where 1.5 pounds of fentanyl were seized.

As part of the investigation into the source of the drugs seized there, a vehicle from Massachusetts was searched during a traffic stop on I-95 in Hampden on Friday.

In all, agents seized two pounds of fentanyl with a suspected street value of over $100,000.

The following people were arrested and charged with drug trafficking:

34-year-old Christopher Warford of Bucksport, Maine.

37-year-old Jamie Ward of Bucksport, Maine.

35-year-old Jessica Adams of Verona Island, Maine.

25-year-old Braile Hernandez Perez of Methuen, Mass.

28-year-old Maykel Antonio Arias Aybar of Dorchester, Mass.
