9-year-old boy dies in Belfast after incident involving tow truck, police say

A 9-year-old boy is dead following an incident involving a tow truck in Belfast.

The boy was injured Monday afternoon in a parking lot on High Street.

He was pronounced dead at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast.

Police did not immediately provide additional details about the incident, including the name of the boy who died.

CBS 13 reports that emotional support was expected to be made available Tuesday to students at Ames Elementary School in Searsmont.
