A Bangor Man Has Been Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting His Pregnant Spouse

A Bangor man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman with a piece of glass at a Brewer hotel.

CBS 13 News reports that police responded to the Vacationland Inn on Thursday for reports of a domestic violence incident.

One woman told police that a man, who was identified as 54-year-old Edward Malone, had destroyed their room, refused to leave, cut her with a piece of broken glass, and escaped before police arrived. Police later caught up with Malone in Hampden after receiving a tip.

He’s been taken to the Penobscot County Jail on multiple charges, including gross sexual assault, domestic violence assault, and elevated aggravated assault against a pregnant person.
