Firefighters in Lisbon responded to a call Saturday for a car that went off road and into the Sabattus River.

Only one person was in the car and managed to get out before crews arrived.

Officials had to wear ice water rescue suits due to the car breaking through the ice.

The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the car was removed from the river.

CBS 13 News reports the Maine DEP is expected to examine the area for environmental concerns.
