The Falmouth Softball Showdown matches up the undefeated Falmouth Police Department against Falmouth Fire-EMS, and it’s all for a good cause.

Donations to the event benefit Maine Special Olympics. It’s all part of National Night Out, an annual police and community outreach day, which looks to promote neighborhood camaraderie and make neighborhoods safer.

On Tuesday, August 5, the night’s festivities start at 5:30p.m. Free food, lawn games, balloon animals, music, and a 50/50 raffle will be held at the Legion Field Complex.
