PEMBROKE (WGME) – A 53-year-old woman has been found dead, and Maine State Police now say she was killed by someone else.

Police say around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, they responded to 515 Leighton Point Road in Pembroke to a report of an unresponsive woman.

When deputies got there, they say 53-year-old Paula Johnson was dead, and the circumstances were considered suspicious.

An autopsy was performed, and Johnson’s death was ruled a homicide.

Now, police are asking anyone with information about the death, or who saw anything that seemed suspicious in the area, to give them a call.
