Pedestrian succumbs to injuries after getting hit by car in Bangor

A pedestrian who was hit by a car in Bangor Tuesday morning has died.

The person was struck by a car on Broadway around 6 a.m. and was found with serious injuries when responders arrived at the scene.

Later on Tuesday, Bangor police said the pedestrian, 56-year-old Allen Emery of Bangor, had died from his injuries.

Police said the driver is cooperating with investigators.
