All Residents Displaced from Biddeford Apartment Fire

All Residents Displaced from Biddeford Apartment Fire

Biddeford Fire Department

All the residents at a three-story apartment building in Biddeford are displaced after a fire Thursday afternoon.

Crews were sent to the scene at 13 Hazel Street, where they found smoke coming from the second and third floors.

What was called in as a dryer fire turned into an All-Hands Fire with crews from Saco, Old Orchard Beach and Biddeford brought in.

The fire was contained to the second floor, but all the other apartment units suffered smoke and water damage and are not able to be occupied.

The Red Cross is working with the building owner and tenants to find temporary housing.

The fire is under investigation. There were no injuries.
