A man from Aroostook County is facing 34 federal charges after allegedly injuring people using drones armed with fireworks and explosives.

The Bangor Daily News reports that 39-year-old Joshua Brydon of Woodland was indicted by a grand jury this past Wednesday and is scheduled for a first appearance this coming Thursday.

He was first arrested in October of 2024 by State Police after an 18-month long investigation, which found he was allegedly using a stockpile of fireworks and other explosive devices he had amassed to injure and intimidate four people, as well as damage their property. Several of the explosives were dropped by a drone, while others were either thrown or placed by hand.

A majority of the federal charges stem from his unregistered operation of drones.

Bryon is also being charged in Aroostook County court with 5 counts of arson, 1 count of attempted arson, 6 counts of criminal use of explosives, 2 counts of stalking and 1 count of endangering the welfare of a child.
