JACKSON, Maine (WGAN) Three men are under arrest in connection with a robbery in Jackson on Sunday.

Waldo County Police received a report from a home on Bog Road just after 5 P.M., and learned that a 27-year-old man had been invited to the residence by a former girlfriend. There, he was approached by 25-year-old Joseph Bella of Auburn, 22-year-old Charles Haskins and 21-year-old Samuel Lear, both of Jackson. During a confrontation, one of the three men displayed a knife and another revealed a handgun. They demanded the victim hand over his wallet and empty his pockets, and then assaulted him.

The victim left the home and called the police. A witness was told that he, too, would be assaulted if he called the cops.

The three men were charged with Robbery, Assault, and Criminal Threatening. Bail was set at $5,000 cash on each.
