AUBURN, Maine (WGAN)  State Fire Marshals and Auburn Police charging an Auburn man with arson.

Fire Marshals have charged 33-year-old Justin Knight with two counts of arson and another two counts of attempted arson, related to the fire at an historic house in the city early Sunday.

Police say Knight was arrested at the Androscoggin County Jail, after being arrested on an unrelated domestic violence charge on Sunday.

Investigators say he set two fires on the outside of the building and then tried to set two cars parked nearby on fire as well.  The car fires were unsuccessful.

Police say knight lives nearby and has no connection to the building.  The fire apparently was random.
