An 18-year-old Auburn man faces assault charges in the stabbing of one person and the shooting of two others over the weekend at a residence on Smith Street.

Auburn Police say Chase Snow was arrested at the residence and is being held without bail on four charges of Aggravated Assault and Reckless Conduct.

Officers say they were called to the scene at 3:20 a.m. Saturday.

They say three people were wounded, including two with gunshot wounds, while a third person had been stabbed. The victims included two adult men and an underage boy.

All three were taken to Central Maine Medical Center and were last known to be in serious but stable condition.

Officers say the group had been partying at the Smith Street residence throughout the evening when an altercation began. Snow reportedly stabbed one of the victims before firing on the other two.

Snow was taken into custody by Auburn police at the scene. He has been charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Assault (class B), Elevated Aggravated Assault (class A), Reckless Conduct (class C), and Aggravated Reckless Conduct (class B). Snow is being held at the Androscoggin County Jail without bail. He is expected to have a first court appearance this week.

Two residents at the home, 19-year-ol Daniel Day and his mother, 57-year-old Wendy Day were charged with Furnishing a Place for Minors to Consume Alcohol (class C).

Officers say the incident remains an active and ongoing investigation. Additional charges will be considered.
