Auburn school superintendent resigns after 31 years

AUBURN, Maine (WGAN) Auburn school superintendent Katy Grondin says she’ll be stepping down at the end of this school year.

Grondin announced her decision in a letter shared online Friday. Grondin has worked with the department for 31 years, and said it was time for her to make a change.

She took over the superintendent role in 2011, and was in talks to extend her contract, according to the Sun Journal.
