Maine State Police are investigating a homicide in Augusta.

Police initially reported finding one man dead after a report of an incident Monday night on Flagg Street.

On Friday, police identified the victim as 51-year-old Billyjack Curtis of Augusta, who died of a gunshot wound.

Police say more information will be released when appropriate but there’s no known danger to the public.
