Authorities crack down on drug trafficking in Portland’s Bayside neighborhood

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Portland police working with drug agents arrested 3 people involved in drug trafficking in the city’s Bayside neighborhood.

Police say they executed a search warrant at a unit at 259 Oxford Street last month, where they seized firearms and items indicating drug trafficking.

They arrested 29-year-old Alex Moustrophis of Westbrook days later on June 24th for drug trafficking during a traffic stop, seizing 112 grams of methamphetamine and $3,600 in cash. He was taken to Cumberland County Jail and posted $5,000 bail.

They seized fentanyl and cocaine during further searches near the Oxford Street address. 30-year-old Kevin Stichel of New York was charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl and Possession of Methamphetamine pills. 46-year-old Orbria Turner of New Jersey was charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl and Violation of Conditions of release. Both are currently being held at the Cumberland County Jail.
