Authorities search for two men suspected of arson in Sanford

Left: Johnathon Cox. Right: Lonnie McMahon.

SANFORD, Maine (WGAN) Authorities are looking for two men wanted for questioning in connection with a house fire in Sanford earlier this month.

Public safety spokesman Steve McCausland says state fire marshals determined that the fire that destroyed a house at 26 Montreal Street on July 6th was arson. The two men being sought are 25-year-old Johnathon Cox and 23-year-old Lonnie McMahon.

Although the two men are from Sanford-Springvale, they do not have permanent addresses and authorities have been unable to locate them.

Anyone knowing the location of either man is asked to call Sanford Police or the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
