Bangor man accused of stabbing person and stealing their vehicle arrested in New York

A Bangor man was arrested in New York after police say he stabbed another person and stole their vehicle.

Bangor police say 37-year-old Abel Perez stabbed someone last weekend on Essex Street in Bangor.

The victim suffered critical injuries.

Perez was arrested Monday by police in New York who stopped the stolen vehicle he was driving.

He faces charges of attempted murder, elevated aggravated assault, domestic violence assault and theft by unauthorized taking.
