Bangor man charged with domestic violence assault

A Bangor man faces a domestic violence charge after an incident that sent the victim to the hospital.

Police responded to a 911 call Friday night to find the victim had been beaten severely over the course of the day.

The suspect, 38-year-old Scott Cary, gave officers inconsistent accounts of how the victim came about their injuries.

Cary, who’s on probation for previous domestic violence convictions, faces an additional domestic violence assault charge and was taken to Penobscot County Jail.
