Police say a Bangor man died after he fell from a radio tower he was working on in Union.

74-year-old James Lerner was working on the tower on Olson Farm Lane a little before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Courier-Gazette.

Lerner’s friend who was at the scene says he was wearing a harness, had carabiner clips and appeared to be attached to the tower before he fell.

Lerner was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they don’t suspect foul play was involved.
