BANGOR, Maine (WGAN)  A Bangor man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison on child pornography charges.

U.S. Attorney Halsey Frank says 38-year-old Jeffrey Swimm plead guilty to charges of sexual exploitation of children and possession of child pornography last August.

Court records say that between October 2012 and April 2017, Swimm producted still-image and video files depicting child pornography, some of which were produced using a hidden camera in the defendant’s bathroom.

Swimm admitted to agents that over a three-year period he produced pornographic images and videos with multiple prepubescent minors so he had them and could trade them online, according to court records.
