BANGOR, Maine (WGAN) A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Bangor on Friday.

Bangor Police Sgt. Wade Betters says 27-year-old Cameron Pelletier of Addison was behind the wheel when he collided with a pedestrian in the travel lane on Oak Street Friday afternoon.

The pedestrian, 74-year-old Gary Rich of Bangor, was taken to a medical care center where he died.

Police say the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
