Bangor school evacuated Friday after threat found inside

BANGOR, Maine (BDN) A school in Bangor was evacuated Friday afternoon after a threat was found written inside the building.

The Bangor Daily News writes that the Fairmount school was evacuated after the threat was found just after 1:30 p.m.

Bangor Police Sgt. Wade Betters says the school was deemed safe after a search.

It’s the second time a threat has been found at a school in the area, with Old Town school officials also closing the high school Thursday after a threat was found in the girl’s bathroom.
