Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion will be going by a new name starting next concert season.

The venue on the Bangor waterfront will be known as the Maine Savings Amphitheater starting with the 2022 concert season and going forward. The company made the announcement Tuesday.

It comes as the result of a multi-year sponsorship deal with Maine Savings, the credit union based out of Hampden.

The venue went by Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion for eight years. According to the Bangor Daily News, Darling’s, which owns several car dealerships in the state, chose not to renew their sponsorship agreement with the venue.
