A Bath man driving the wrong way on I-295 caused several injuries in a crash early Sunday morning in Falmouth, police said.

Police say 28-year-old Brandon Johansen was driving northbound in the southbound lane when he collided head on into a car driven by 50-year-old Jennifer Marrone of Portland.

Two teenage passengers were in the backseat of Marrone’s car, and were transported to Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.

Marrone was listen in critical condition but police said he’s expected to survive.

A third car driven by 60-year-old Hagos Tsadik of Portland also struck the vehicles, but he wasn’t injured in the crash.

Johansen, who police say was intoxicated at the time of the crash, was transported to Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.

Police said he would be charged with aggravated operating under the influence.
