Bicyclist hospitalized after colliding with pickup truck in Bath

BATH, Maine (WGAN) Police say a bicyclist who struck a pickup truck in downtown Bath on Monday has been hospitalized.

Our info partners at CBS 13 news report police were at the scene of the accident on Centre Street Monday afternoon. Witnesses said the bicyclist ran a red light before colliding with the truck. The bike was not equipped with brakes and the rider wasn’t wearing a helmet.

The bicyclist suffered serious injuries to the head and face and were brought to Maine Medical Center. Police are still investigating the incident.
