A Biddeford school bus driver was charged with OUI after he was pulled over while transporting members of the high school field hockey team.

Richard Tanguay, 68, was also charged with driving to endanger and endangering the welfare of a child.

Superintendent Jeremy Ray says Tanguay was not under the influence of alcohol, and the incident is under investigation.

Tanguay was transporting the field hockey team home from the state championship game.

Police say he was driving erratically when his bus was stopped on the Turnpike in Scarborough Saturday night.

He has been placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated.
