A Biddeford man was arrested Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of the York County Sheriff’s Office an hour after bailing himself out of jail, according to our info partners at CBS 13.

Police say, Garrett Lucey, 39, was arrested at 1 a.m. Sunday for burglary. Around 11:30 a.m., he bailed himself out for $500.

An hour later, he was found in the parking lot of the jail smoking a cigarette in a car that didn’t belong to him and holding onto the owner’s wallet.

Police say the woman who owns the car tried to get her wallet back and was pushed away by Lucey.

Lucey was arrested again and is facing multiple charges: burglary of a motor vehicle, theft, assault, and violation conditions of his release.

Police say Lucey is not eligible for bail on the new charges and will remain in jail until he is arraigned on Tuesday.
